Pastor
Joe followed a call of the Lord to come to New Hampshire in Oct. 1995. While
staying with a relative in Manchester and seeking a place to bring his helpmeet,
Pam and his Dad, Joe started a Home Fellowship in Litchfield, NH.
In February of '96 he found a suitable apartment in Derry, NH and moved the
Home Fellowship to that location. Shortly thereafter, Sunday services were started
in the Londonderry Lions Club and continued there for about 2 years.
In December of '98 services were moved to the recently acquired DiChiaro home
in Derry. As the body outgrew the space, plans were begun to remodel available
space that would accommodate around 70 people... but God had other plans! The
sudden death of the contractor left the project incomplete but the apparent
closed door allowed God to open the door to purchase an existing church facility
in Manchester.
The former Manchester Baptist Church became the present Calvary Fellowship Church
at 60 Bailey Avenue. The sanctuary built in 1991 can accommodate approximately
150-200 and came complete with oak pews, pulpit, etc. It has a downstairs fellowship
hall with complete kitchen and two additional small rooms that will soon be
converted to a nursery and toddler room.
An adjacent small residential building serves as classrooms/pastor's office/
parsonage for our worship leader. Future plans call for connecting the two structures
to improve handicapped accessibility and children's facilities.
We will wait on the Lord for His timing to further expansion. His plans and
timing are always better than ours!
